Henk Vallentgoed2024-11-11Didn't stay there, obviously went there for the out of this world chicken livers!! It didn't dissappoint. They have some new items on the menu and one or two new cocktails, we savoured some of these and boy oh boy, it gives you a bit of a limp.Bella Vuillermoz2024-10-28What a blissful place. Highly recommend.Erene Claassen-Corbitt2024-10-21We just had dinner here and the food and service were amazing. The dessert was so good. Definitely coming back. The views are just incredible.
Alyssa C2024-11-29Highly recommend for divers and non divers alike! My partner loves to dive, I don't - and this place was perfect for us both! He was right next door to the best diving place, and I spent the days by the pool or the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. It was my partners Birthday and they went above and beyond by serving a romantic dinner on the deck of our room. The restaurant is stunning - views over the ocean during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is also really good! The rooms are far apart from each other, the aircon works amazingly well, it was super clean and neat and lovely to use. Big as well! Highly recommend staying here.Roosklerks2024-11-22Fresh air on Mseni Beach The cabins are really nice. Your own bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. Bed is good. You can walk to the beach but you can't swim there. Then you should be a lot further is recommended. Also not going out alone outside the private beach of Mseni is advised. There is a swimming pool. The staff is really super nice and always want to be of service. The food in the restaurant is perfect. Breakfast is inclusive and especially breakfast with spinach and the poached eggs with lemon marinated mushrooms is highly recommended. If you have a ski jet or a boat this is a must because you can get your boat into the water via mooring spots. Plenty to do for surfers too. There are also a lot of camping spots that are very secluded and then you are really away from the world. If you don't have all that with you, you can actually only walk or sunbathe at the beach or pool. We walked a lot and at the same time cleaned up plastic from the beach. There are activities to do around Sodwana such as Quat ride or walking expeditions.Daydream346172719332024-10-28Wonderful two nights at Mseni The upscale cabins are nicely laid out on the property to ensure privacy but yet close enough to the restaurant. The view from the restaurant is beautiful and the food is great. The staff go out of their way to assist guests in making sure their stay is enjoyable. Management even drove us to the beach and to one of our offsite excursions since we didn't have a car. The beach and the humungous sand dunes are stunning! Wish we had a third night!Sasha Lee P2024-10-22Good experience & great breakfast options Really enjoyed the stay here. Everything was quite neat, the breakfast options were great. It was quite peaceful and you can access the beach easily. Just wish that there was an area where you could braai. Coral Divers is a short drive away for the diving activities.Juergen S2024-10-01Sodwana at its best The Sea View House was a terrific experience, seeing whales every day from the lovely veranda. The house was spacious and ideal for us with 4 bedrooms. Everything was clean and well maintained. The great kitchen and living room were secure for the 2 year old to walk around by himself. Dining in the restaurant was superb, in quality of food with vegetarian curries, lovely sea food and something on the Menu for everybody. Opening hours were astonishing and the staff excellent and friendly. We also enjoyed the walk to the empty beach, which unfortunately had more washed up plastic than we expected or I remember from my diving days 30 years ago. It was a magnifisant week we spent and enjoyed in Mseni - thanksLizelle R2024-10-01Happy Holiday The unit is stylish with a comfortable spacious layout . Nice size fridge for a family of 4. We enjoyed the restaurant as well. All the staff on the property were efficient and friendly. thank you for a lovely stay, hope to be back some time again.AriMunich2024-09-03Relaxed beautiful stay by the sea The cottage with 2 bedrooms was just right for us. It was clean and everything very new. In the restaurant you could eat well, there was plenty of choice on the menu. The way to the beach was not far and on the beach it was very nice, we could also watch dolphins and whales. The pool was also very nice and was in the shade, so you could stay there well.Stéphanie V2024-08-23Very nice place Very nice location The chalets are spacious and in a natural setting Very good welcome from all staff The restaurant very good both for breakfast and for the day and magnificent views right over the whales when it is the season Access to the beautiful beach.Ilke W2024-08-08Special place for a special celebration We had a special family celebration and the staff at the restaurant baked us a gorgeous chocolate cake. Not only did they make a huge effort, but Keira decorated it after her shift had ended and they delivered it to our chalet in time for the party. Special thanks to Vincent for orchestrating the whole surprise cake. Besides the special efforts from the restaurant team we had a wonderful stay in the Sea view House, with amazing views, excellent and friendly service and great facilities. Would stay here again!Beatrice2024-08-06We'll be back! We are extremely happy we chose Mseni Beach Lodge as our stay in Sodwana Bay. Our cottage for 4 people was tasteful and the quality of the build is top. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, beds were spacious but maybe a little hard. The kitchen is very well eqipped. The vervets come to look into your kitchen what's on offer, so make sure to close every little gap at all times! The restaurant suited us so well, that we changed our mind and postponed self catering to the next stop of our journey. Amazing seefood and awesome breakfasts! You can see the whales and the sunrise from the restaurant terrace, what more do you want! We came because of the promising Lodge and will return because of the people. Everyone we met was friendly, warmhearted and helpful. Thank you all for a great stay! We went whale watching with their recommended guide and were stunned. They also would have organised other activities, guides were at hand for all sorts of things. The beaches are endless and gorgeous! For swimming go to Sodwana bay (10 min drive), directly from the Lodge it is too dangerous because of the currents. Get up early and watch the sunrise over the sea, it is worth it!Tripadvisor rating score: 4.5 of 5, based on 415 reviews
